Engagement
Engagement requires participation but is more than participation. Engagement involves motivation, critical and/or creative thinking, and positive emotions around what is being learned. We can foster engagement by helping students understand why we are learning what we are learning and by using culturally sustaining pedagogical practices. We can also make space for student voice and choice to increase positive emotions and motivation. View the resources below to learn more about engagement.
