Opportunities Open to Teachers of Grades 6-12 at CLSD Grant Funded Schools
Thursday, June 4th, 2026 from 9 AM - 3 PM in Columbia, MO
Educators from schools receiving CLSD 2024 grant services can register for the upcoming SMLC Literacy Leadership Miniconfernece. Participants attend breakout sessions led by practicing teachers focused on evidence-based literacy strategies used in secondary classrooms. Space is limited. Registration may close early if capacity is reached.
Participants receive a $200 Stipend.

Summer 2026 - 3 Credit Hour, Synchronous Online Graduate Course
June 8 - July 17, 3 - 5 PM on Mondays
Educators of grades 6 - 12 from schools receiving CLSD 2024 grant services (not in the 1st cohort of Literacy th@t Works) are eligible for full scholarship to earn 3 hours of graduate credit in the summer of 2026.

Virtual Meetings, 1st Tuesdays, September - April, 4-5:30pm
Did you or a colleague miss a break-out session at the Summer Launch that you'd love to experience? Or are you a teacher at a CLSD school interested in classroom-based literacy practices? Each month features a classroom teacher sharing an evidence-based literacy strategy that can be implemented in all content areas. These strategies are featured in our in-person meetings at Literacy th@t Works and are open to all CLSD faculty. $75 stipend for active session participation.

Virtual Meetings, 1st Thursdays, September - April, 4-5:30pm
Teachers will read, write and engage in professional conversation around the impact of AI in our classrooms and disciplines. There is no monthly commitment -- drop in to any session to join the discussion. $75 stipend for active session participation.
